A small amount of money can often make a big difference in developing projects, activities and resources to help ensure that people understand the impact that the First World War had on our lives today.
Funding specifically dedicated to First World War projects in the UK is available from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
It will help groups, communities and organisations mark the Centenary by exploring, conserving and sharing the heritage of the First World War, from memorials, buildings and sites, to photographs, letters and literature.
There is also a new grant from UK-German Connection available for young people in the UK and Germany to fund First World War-related projects.
There are also funding schemes offered more generally that could support First World War projects and activities, from trusts and foundations including Arts Council England, Museums Galleries Scotland and others.
