Cowal – A Call to Arms: Behind the scenes at home and abroad during the Great War

In parallel with the conference an exhibition will be held in the Burgh Hall from 2nd to 8th October featuring material about the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (the 8th battalion mobilised from Dunoon), the Argyll and Bute Mountain Batteries, training camps, auxiliary hospitals, war memorials, local heroes, Princess Louise and the Campbell family, provision for veterans and much more. Contributions will range from museum exhibits and research documents to displays from local enthusiasts and school projects.

Included in the conference fee :
