Trench Brothers

HMDT Music’s Trench Brothers Exhibition is a creative response to the untold stories of ethnic minority soldiers in the First World War.

Take an ID card to follow the journeys of soldiers from the Indian Army and British West Indies Regiment through photographic documentation, uniformed model puppets, children’s artwork and audio recordings of their Letters Home set to music with composers, and interactive elements exploring uniforms and rations.

The Trench Brothers Exhibition was created in 2017 to develop the themes and creative approach developed in the Trench Brothers primary school project which has visited 40 schools in London and Lancashire since 2014.
