Two new apps explore the Scottish story of the First World War

Two apps created for the Next of Kin touring exhibition are now available to download for free from the Apple iTunes store. The digital resources are a treasure trove of unique stories and artefacts, providing a personal insight into the impacts of the First World War across Scotland.

Great War Stories across Scotland reveals the stories of 43 Scottish families whose lives were changed forever by the conflict. Nurse Mellor’s Autograph Books presents the digitised autograph books of a Scottish nurse working at War Hospitals in Fife and Craiglockhart.

Next of Kin is a partnership between 10 museums to explore the wartime experiences of families in Scotland, and is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Scottish Government. Find out more here.
