A booklet and online information is available to guide those who are thinking about how to mark these anniversaries. Applications are welcomed for all kinds of heritage projects: the winner in the Best Heritage Project category in the 2011 Lottery awards was an arts project. ‘We Were Brothers: WW1 A Shared History’ comprises a play, a DVD, a book, an interactive website and a youth project remembering the heritage of soldiers from both the Unionist and the Nationalist traditions who served alongside the British army in WW1, as members of the Ulster Battalions or the Irish Volunteers.  Details here.
